  1. The most important impressions made about you are made within the first 10 seconds of an interview.
  2. Always arrive early, look smart, make eye contact.
  3. An employer needs to know they can work with you and that you can become part of their team. So be yourself, be real and be approachable.
  4. Know what your short and long term goals are in relation to a new post.
  5. Things like career opportunities, training potential and technical growth are as important as your day to day role and working environment.
  6. Feeling nervous? Arm yourself with info on a prospective employer. Prepare questions for the interview,
    which will help you decide whether or not to accept, if you are offered the job.
  7. Be knowledgeable and interested in the company concerned.
  8. Be prepared to discuss your weaknesses, but try and turn it into a positive.
  9. Have questions in mind that you are going to ask at the end of the interview.
