Pre Sales Engineer for a opportunity with our client in the Thames Valley area. This role will be responsible for working with prospects and partners during the sales process to understand their strategic business issues and craft and communicate solutions strategies. This will require a consultative sales process, and a strong consulting background is necessary. The qualified candidate has a strong technical background, knowledge of the finance industry would be an advantage.

Job Description:
• Working closely with sales force and prospective customers and partners to understand strategic business issues • Managing and presenting custom demonstrations, including extensive hands-on work with the software
• Working closely with product management, engineering, services, marketing, and support teams to provide input and share experiences
• Managing customer and internal resources as required to successfully complete required project tasks.
• Earning client and partner trust through technical and functional expertise
• Collaborating and negotiating in the context of achieving shared objectives Required Skills:
• 5 years software product pre-sales, business analyst, consulting and/or software implementation experience
• ERP system implementations (preferred)
• A strong foundation in technology including SQL and XML. Familiarity with Unix (command line navigation, basic commands, job scheduling and vim) preferred. Proficiency with personal and project productivity tools including MS Office, MS Project

In this role you will work with clients in the financial services sector on the full deployment cycle of innovative solutions for mission critical trading execution and market data. The Professional Services Engineer will be primarily responsible for installation, set-up and support of the post-sales implementation processes, which includes both production and evaluation installations at client sites.
